Thurrock Ramblers are a relatively small and very friendly Ramblers group that was started in 1984 and currently has circa 100 members. We are one of 19 walking groups in Essex that are part of the Ramblers Association.

Walks are on Sundays throughout the year typically 8 - 10 miles and Wednesday evenings April to September usually 4 to 5 miles.  Sunday walks are mainly in Essex and Kent although we do sometimes venture further afield into Surrey, Hertfordshire and London.  Wednesday walks are more local to the Thurrock area.

Our Sunday walks usually include a pub stop for a drink, but we suggest you always bring a packed lunch.

Come and join us and enjoy the beautiful countryside, meet new people, make new friends and get some valuable exercise.

As a group we organise walking holidays from time to time both at home in the UK and in Europe and arrange coach rambles which have recently taken us to Windsor, Eastbourne and Dover.  We also have occasional social events.

New members are always very welcome and you can come and try us out at any time.  We do ask that after a couple of walks you do join the Ramblers.
