Meet at Rectory road car park, Grays

Linton to Yalding via the Greensand Ridge, Kent.

A pleasant circular walk through fields, hliisides and orchards.

A few hills and slopes. Choice of pubs for lunch

Meet at Rectory road car park, Grays

Wrotham, Kent. A circular walk from Wrotham and back via Stanstead (Village). Short morning and longer afternoon.

One fairly steep hill otherwise undulating. Pub at halfway mark and at end of walk. Bring a picnic if preferred.

Meet Gifford’s Cross road car park Corringham or

Writtle, Essex. CM1 3HY Map Ref 183 TL678.  Car Park behind the village green or around the village green.

An easy Essex walk that can be muddy in October. References to Marconi the founder of radio in this country will be seen.

Stop for food at the Tiptree Jam Factory cafe at Writtle.

Meet at Gifford’s Cross road car park Corringham or High Woods Country park CO4 5JR. (parking fee £2).

Easy circular walk from High Woods. A few gentle hills to lunch stop in Colchester, where there are many eateries including Wetherspoons.

Old Bexley –Foots Cray Meadows-Old Bexley

An interesting walk along the river Cray, then north up a short hill to the north downs, returning via Joyden’s Wood.

Lunch at The Ship Inn ,Wilmington

(Perhaps a chance to be at a war memorial at 11)

St Peter On The wall, Bradwell on Sea

Meet at Giffords Cross rd car park, Corringham.

A bracing walk from the ancient chapel along the North Sea wall and Dengie nature reserve to Tillingham where we have our lunch at The Fox and Hounds.

Then a flat walk across the flat fields back to Bradwell

Biggin Hill, Kent.

A walk in the North Downs around Biggin Hill. A couple of short hills, varied scenery with great views.

Bring a packed lunch. Pub nearing the end of the walk for refreshments.

A figure of eight starting at Mill Green going out through Ingatestone .

Lunch at The Viper, Mill Green.

The afternoon going out through Blackmore, back to Mill Green.

Eleven miles total walk.

Bread and Cheese Hill

A figure of eight walk through woodland with good views south across the Thames estuary.

A choice of pubs or tea shop at Benfleet

Christmas Lunch will be held at Top Meadow Golf Club,

Fen Lane, North Ockendon, Essex RM14 3PR.

12 o clock for 12.15 sit down.

Meet Rectory Road car park, Grays or Stock Village Hall (CM4 9NF), Nine mile figure of eight around Stock village. A moderate walk with some gentle inclines. Choice of pubs in Stock for lunch. If meeting at Stock, park at far end of car park.

Meet at Waterside Farm sports centre car park Canvey SS8 9RA An easy post Christmas walk taking in views across Benfleet creek and water tower. Pub stop at the Oyster Catcher,     Should be back in Grays by 2 - 2.30pm

                                      January


Meet at West Ham Station (top of the escalator for the Jubillee line).

North Greenwich to Blackheath Village. A linear walk combining riverside, parks and good views.

Pub stop for lunch.

We will be returning to Greenwich by bus. So please have buss pass, Oyster or contactless as the London busses do not take cash.

Meet at Giffords Cross Road car park Corringham

Galleywood to Writtle.

An easy circular walk taking in part of the estate boundary of Hylands Park, through Galleywood Common to Writtle. Tea break at The Stables. Then onto Writtle Green where there’s a choice of two pubs for lunch.

This walk can be shortened in the event of inclement weather.

Meet at Giffords Cross Road car park Corringham.

Heybridge Basin Circular.

Starting at Heybridge Basin we follow the coast, past Osea Island to Goldhanger.

Lunch in the Chequers or Cricketers Goldhanger.

Return through fields to Heybridge Basin where, if wanted, there’s a choice of pubs and the Tiptree tea rooms.

Meet outside Tower Hill tube station (Opposite park gates).A flat paved walk alongside the River Thames crossing various bridges to Westminster for a short break. Returning to Tower hill via different bridges where some of you may fancy a Sunday roast at the Wetherspoons (optional).

Meet at Rectory road car park, Grays

Isle of Sheppy, Kent. A walk across the RSPB reserve to

St Thomas The Apostle an ancient church on the Isle of Harty.

Lunch at the Ferry Inn on the Swale

Then a dry! Walk back through the marshes. Lots of wildlife.

Meet at West Ham station, top of the escalator (for the Jubilee line).

Arsenal v West Ham.

An easy linear London walk starting at Arsenal.

Lunch at the Rochester Castle Inn.

Meet at the front of Leigh on Sea Station (plenty of parking behind station).

An Easy walk to Shoeburyness. Lunch stop in Southend with plenty choices of pubs, tea rooms etc.

Then onto Gunnesbury park, through the old barracks to Shoeburyness, where we take the train back. Plenty of opportunities to cut the walk short if you need to.

Meet at the front entrance of Bow underground station District line. Oranges and Lemons.

An easy walk visiting the churches that make up the nursery rhyme from the East End to the Strand.
