We are a friendly, group that was started in 1984 and we now have approximately 120 members.

We generally cover Essex, Kent, Surrey, Hertfordshire and London.

Walks are on a Sunday covering approx 8 - 10 miles. (all year).

And Wednesday evenings 4 - 5 miles ( April - September)

All our Sunday walks usually include a pub stop for liquid refreshment (bring on own packed lunch).

Come and join us and enjoy the beautiful countryside, meet new people and make new friends, but most of all getting valuable exercise.

As  a group we usually organise a couple of walking holidays per year. Wales and the Isle of Wight are firm favourites.

In December we celebrate the festive season with a Christmas Hat Walk. This is a short walk wearing with pride your Christmas Hat, followed by an informal Xmas lunch.

You are welcome to come along and try out a few walks.

If you decide that walking is for you and you want to formally join 'Thurrock Ramblers' you can do so by clicking on the Ramblers Association tab above. Will divert you to their website and follow their instructions.

This is Britain's walking charity which promotes rambling, protects rights of way, campaigns for access to open country and defends the countryside.
